Belgrade, 18 November 2011 – The Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Serbia and National Tempus Office in Serbia organised today the Conference on EU programs for cooperation in the field of education - the Information Day - Tempus and other EU programs for cooperation in the field of education.
The conference was opened by Mr. Adriano Martins, Deputy Head of EU Delegation in Serbia, and Mr. Radivoje Mitrovic, State Secretary from the Ministry of Education and Science Republic of Serbia.
Participants of the conference were representatives of higher education and other educational institutions, representatives of chambers of commerce and government, and they had the opportunity to see new Calls for projects in Tempus, Erasmus Mundus Programme and lifelong learning.
Tempus program helps modernize higher education in the partner countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Western Balkans and South of the Mediterranean. In the last ten years Serbia has realized over 150 projects with total value of around 50 million euros.
Among the few new Tempus projects that were presented to participants of the conference was the CareerS project, presented by Marija Jovanovic from the Center for Career Development, University of Belgrade. On that occasion, described were the goals of this project, and some of the main activities of the project work packages.
